These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Privacy Policy Review platform ("Service") operated by Privacy Policy Review ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Service Description

Privacy Policy Review provides AI-powered privacy policy compliance analysis verified by an attorney. Our Service includes:

  • Automated analysis of privacy policies against compliance frameworks (SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA/CPRA, ISO 27001, PCI DSS)
  • Attorney review and verification of compliance findings
  • Signed Records of Review documenting the assessment

2. Accounts

You must create an account through our authentication provider to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

3. Use of the Service

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when submitting privacy policies for review
  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes
  • Not attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or interfere with the Service
  • Not submit content that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights

4. Reviews and Records

  • AI Analysis: Our AI system provides automated compliance analysis. This analysis is informational and does not constitute legal advice.
  • Attorney Review: Each review is verified by an attorney who produces a signed Record of Review. The Record of Review documents that an attorney has reviewed the AI analysis and your privacy policy.
  • Not Legal Advice: The Service, including attorney reviews, does not establish an attorney-client relationship. Our reviews are compliance assessments, not legal opinions or legal advice. You should consult your own legal counsel for legal advice specific to your situation.

5. Pricing and Payment

  • Reviews are priced at a flat rate as displayed on our platform at the time of purchase.
  • Payments are processed through Stripe. By submitting payment, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
  • All sales are final. Refunds may be issued at our discretion on a case-by-case basis.

6. Intellectual Property

  • You retain ownership of the privacy policies you submit for review.
  • We retain ownership of the Service, including our AI models, review processes, and platform technology.
  • The Record of Review is provided for your use but remains our intellectual property in its format and structure.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific review giving rise to the claim.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Privacy Policy Review, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may discontinue use of the Service at any time.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by posting updated Terms on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
