1. Description of Service

Privacy Policy Review offers an online service that provides a cost-effective, informational review of privacy policies. The service helps companies without a dedicated legal team satisfy annual attorney review requirements associated with certification frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO, HIPAA, and others.

The outcome is a "Record of Attorney Review" which can be used as evidence for workflow checks required by these certifications.

2. No Legal Advice or Attorney-Client Relationship

The Service provides information and analysis based on common requirements for various compliance frameworks. It is not a substitute for legal advice from a qualified attorney licensed in your jurisdiction.

The "Record of Attorney Review" is an evidence that your privacy policy has been reviewed by an attorney, being a necessary step in many compliance processes.

• The reviews provided are for informational and review evidence purposes only.
• No attorney-client relationship is formed between you and Privacy Policy Review or any employees or affiliated attorneys.
• The Service does not guarantee your privacy policy meets all specific requirements or that you will achieve any certification. The application and compliance of your privacy policy remain your responsibility.

3. User Accounts and Responsibilities

Account Creation: You must create an account and provide accurate, current, and complete information.

Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities under your account.

Submitted Content: You are solely responsible for the privacy policies you submit (upload or URL). You grant us a limited license to use, reproduce, and analyze the submitted policy solely to provide the Service.

4. Payment and Refunds

Fees: Flat fee of $200 per privacy policy review. All prices are clearly displayed including applicable taxes.

Payment Processing: Stripe is used for payment processing. By providing a payment method you authorize the charge.

Refunds: All fees are non-refundable once a review is completed and the "Record of Attorney Review" issued.

5. Permitted and Prohibited Uses

Permitted: Use the "Record of Attorney Review" as evidence of review for the specific version of the privacy policy submitted.

Prohibited:

• Falsifying, altering, or misrepresenting the Record.
• Using our name or attorneys to fabricate attestations or imply endorsement or attorney-client relationship.
• Violating laws or regulations.
• Submitting unlawful, infringing, or harmful content.
• Interfering with security or integrity of the Service.

6. Intellectual Property

The "Record of Attorney Review" and any analysis provided are the intellectual property of Privacy Policy Review. You receive a limited, non-exclusive license for internal compliance and audit purposes. No resale or distribution without written consent.

7. Data Storage and Privacy

We collect personal information (name, email, payment details) per our Privacy Policy. Submitted privacy policies are stored securely for up to two (2) years for record-keeping and service improvement.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

"AS IS" Service: The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. No warranty of uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, no liability for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive damages, lost profits, revenues, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from (a) access or use or inability to use; (b) conduct or content of third parties. Aggregate liability limited to the amount paid for the specific Service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion without notice if you breach these Terms. On termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, excluding conflict of law rules. You submit to the jurisdiction of courts located in Portugal.
